Assemblage on Victorian architectural salvage from New Orleans home.  Size 3.5" x 12". Photograph by E. J. Bellocq, photographer of prostitutes in Storyville, New Orleans, circa 1912.  Some of the few remaining Bellocq glass negatives had the faces of the women scratched out.  There are two theories as to who did this, either Bellocq himself or his brother who was a Catholic priest.  As of present day, no one has determined who defaced these negatives.  Features Victorian fabrics, laces and lingerie strap.  Dried ginger blooms from artist’s garden.
